11 Vessels. One Strong Partnership

With the recent handover of Siem Barracuda, SIEM Shipping proudly marks the completion of a significant milestone — the full operational transfer of 11 offshore vessels to Aurora Offshore.

This transition reflects not just a shift in management, but a strategic partnership built on shared values, operational excellence, and a long-term vision for sustainable, high-performance offshore service.

A Comprehensive Offshore Fleet

The 11-vessel transition includes a robust mix of vessel types, each engineered for specific offshore applications:

  • 4 Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs)
  • 3 Offshore Construction Vessels (OCVs)
  • 4 Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels (AHTSs)

Together, these vessels form a diverse and capable offshore fleet, ready to serve the complex needs of clients in energy exploration, subsea construction, and deep-sea operations.

A Final Handshake: Siem Barracuda

The final handover vessel, Siem Barracuda, is a standout example of modern subsea capability. Built in 2013, she features a 250-tonne active heave compensated (AHC) crane, 1300m² of deck space, and accommodation for up to 110 personnel. These specifications make her ideally suited to support subsea construction and installation projects around the world.

The successful transition of Siem Barracuda marks the final step in the carefully coordinated transfer process — one that has relied on close collaboration between SIEM Shipping, Aurora Offshore, onboard crew, technical teams and port-side stakeholders.

Shared Standards, Strengthened Reach

While SIEM Shipping proudly retains ownership of all 11 vessels, Aurora Offshore now leads operational management. Their proven track record in the offshore industry brings immediate value to the fleet, with a deep commitment to safety, reliability and performance.

This partnership enables us to:

  • Streamline our approach to fleet management
  • Strengthen our operational footprint across global offshore markets
  • Maintain consistent, high-quality service across all vessel classes

With this transition, SIEM Shipping continues to evolve as an owner-operator, aligning our strategic vision with partners who share our standards and ambition.

A Thank You to the Teams Involved

We extend our sincere thanks to all the crew members, technical specialists, port authorities and internal teams who supported this transition — from the earliest planning stages through to the final handover.

The completion of this process is a testament to their professionalism and commitment.
