SIEM Shipping is pleased to announce the addition of Siem Darwin (ex MV Lake Geneva) to our growing Pure Car and Truck Carrier (PCTC) fleet.

Built by Imabari Shipbuilding in Japan and delivered in 2015, Siem Darwin is a modern vehicle carrier designed to support global automotive logistics. The vessel offers a carrying capacity of up to 6,179 vehicles across 11 car decks plus a dedicated garage deck, enabling the efficient transport of passenger cars, high-and-heavy units and other rolling cargo.

Measuring 199.9 metres in length and flagged in Singapore, the vessel combines flexible cargo intake with proven operational reliability, making it well suited to serve established and emerging automotive trade routes worldwide.

Built for Global Automotive Logistics

Purpose-built for the demands of vehicle transportation, Siem Darwin is equipped with extensive deck space and specialised loading systems that allow for the safe and efficient handling of a wide range of cargo types. The vessel’s design supports both standard passenger vehicles and larger high-and-heavy cargo, providing the flexibility required in today’s evolving automotive supply chains.

The vessel is currently on long-term charter through to the end of 2028, supporting continued deployment across key global automotive trades. Its addition strengthens SIEM’s ability to deliver dependable capacity and long-term support to customers across the international vehicle logistics market.

With the introduction of Siem Darwin, SIEM continues to expand its PCTC fleet while reinforcing its commitment to reliable operations, strong partnerships and efficient global vehicle transport.
